Cookies & choices

You can read the journal and view every photograph without accepting analytics.

Your preference

We store your acceptance or rejection in your browser’s local storage under volumen-iv-consent-v1, for up to 180 days. This records your choice and its date so we can respect it on later visits. It is not used for advertising. Clearing browser storage removes this choice.

Google Analytics 4

Analytics is optional. On the live website it will load only after acceptance. Before acceptance, and after rejection, our website makes no Google Analytics requests. The local preview and any website without a configured Measurement ID do not load analytics.

Once enabled, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_<stream identifier> cookies to distinguish visits and maintain session information. Our configuration limits their lifetime to 180 days without renewal on each visit. Other analytics features and cookies must be reviewed before they are enabled.

Advertising consent remains denied. We do not use advertising tags. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops future collection, clears analytics cookies accessible to this website and reloads the page to unload the Google tag.

Cloudflare provides hosting and security. Depending on enabled security features and challenges encountered, it may set security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. These are conditional technologies, not cookies necessarily set on every visit. See Cloudflare’s cookie information. See our privacy notice or email [email protected].
